Rent-free Gas Bottles

All gas cylinders are supplied on a rent-free basis.
I.e. there are no recurring charges for bottle rental.

How it works

1. Pay a deposit to get a cylinder when you first buy gas.
2. Later on, buy gas refills in exchange cylinders.
3. At the end, return the cylinder to get your deposit refunded.

Propylene

High energy fuel gas. A substitute for acetylene in heating and cutting applications.

• Clean burning flame. 2900℃ for a neutral flame in PROPYLENE. (Compare to 2526℃ for propane, and 3087℃ for acetylene.)
• 20 times more stable than acetylene.
• Suitable for hand cutting, machine cutting, flame hardening, metalizing, brazing, soldering, welding, pre-heating and stress relieving.
• Oxy-propylene heats quicker and cuts faster than oxy-acetylene.
  There is no draw-off limit as for acetylene cylinders, and the secondary flame carries higher heat levels.
• Costs less and lasts longer than acetylene.
  Typically there's a 50% reduction on cost. Outlasts the equivalent sized acetylene cylinder by about 2.5 times.
• All cylinders have the same left-hand threaded standard fitting as BOC, Air Products & Air Liquide.

Acetylene gauges, torches and welding tips usually work well with Propylene. For optimum performance, speak to your equipment provider for information about suitability of tips, hoses, and regulators for use with Propylene.

Our prices are simple:

• When gas is sold in the first instance, there is a one-off bottle deposit to be paid on the cylinder.
• For refills we only charge for the gas supplied in the exchange cylinder.
• Return of an undamaged cylinder equates to a full refund of the original bottle deposit.
• There are no other costs, except for delivery when required.
